First Day of School!

Today was my kiddo's first day of school. They are growing so fast and changing so much!
Every once in a while I love to compare present photos with the past. Below is a progression from when Riley started school to now! I know I am jumping the bridge, but Natalie will be joining these photo's next fall!!!!!!
Natalie surprised Brandon and I by running over to the school mascot and hugging him/her.
 Our new favorite teachers!
Lorelei and her best friend Amelia!
Riley and some of his friends.
Riley, Kelton & Logan
Lorelei's teacher sent this! So cute!

Natalie and I started our Mommy and Me Preschool!
I found a preschool in a box kit. The company is called Ivy Kids. They send you a book and base 10 lessons around it. There are crafts, games and work sheets. We are currently learning about the desert. Today we got to make snakes!
The kids came home excited and happy. Lorelei decided that the first day isn't as scary as she thought. She can still go see Mrs. Cellar when she wants and her best friend Amelia during Lunch and recess. Riley loves learning and the fact that his teachers change for each subject. He came home with an exuberant amount of energy. Natalie, loved having the house to herself again. She also discovered that playing with people her age at the park is a lot of fun! I am sure in a couple of weeks the novelty will die, but for now I am reveling their enjoyment.

All summers come to an end...

One of Riley's favorite things this summer has been baseball. It's the first sport he has really taken interest in and would like to pursue more of. I tried to get some photo's of our little baseball player, but the sun and wind were a bit too strong!
Riley has also grown 2 1/2 inches since his check up last year!!!!! It's a hard realization when your sons head is passing your shoulders. I can't believe he will be a 4th grader in 10 days!
These photos below were taken at one of his games. He got a couple of hits that night and was really excited!

Natalie is still tiny for her age. People don't believe me when I tell them she is 4. I had her signed up for a preschool this year, but it fell through. It left me frustrated, but at the same time I know she will be okay. She still wants to do dance which will give her some socialization during the week. At least I get to love on her for one more year!
Lorelei too hasn't grown much since her last doctors appointment as well. Her height and weight are almost exact. The doctor said she was a perfect square! Lorelei decided to forgo dance this year and is on a wait list for Horse back riding lessons. She loves animals and plans to be a veterinarian someday!
I love Colorado's cumulus clouds!
One of our summer days we went to the park around 9 am. Sadly, it was already 88 degrees and the structure was burning. After ten minutes we decided to walk home and go the the pool instead!
We had a couple of breaks on our way back.
Pool time!
Lorelei showing off her swimming skills.
Natalie being stocked by her brother.
Every time we go to the pool she has to collect all of the aspen leaves.
Hopefully, we get to make it to the pool a couple of more time before the summer ends!
