Spring Break is never a get outside and play time of the year. Unless, you are a skier and love drudging up the mountain side (which we don't). We knew there would be snow, but the weather man said a couple of inches. I can do a couple of inches with small kids, no problem. Tuesday morning came with Brandon exclaiming I am working from home today there is a Blizzard outside. I did not believe him at first. Sometimes he thinks the snow is really bad when it isn't. So I got out of bed and found the windows plastered with snow. I ran outside to quickly save my plants and the wind was awful. I had tiny pieces of ice shrapnel pelting my skin and could not see well at all! Our couple of inches quickly turned into a foot and a half of heavy wet snow.
With the wind being so strong, playing outside was not an option. The kids made a fort instead!
The next day was freezing, but Ri and Lollie really wanted to play in the deep snow. After realizing how hard it was to walk in it and how cold it was they gave up after 10 minutes and came back inside.
I realize my posts this year have had quite the pattern. Pictures in the snow, pictures at the park, pictures in the snow, pictures at the park etc. I am sure the next one will be outside again in 70 degree weather just you wait!
With all of this fun weather talk it got Brandon and I thinking. After his last business trip to Virginia we decided to take the plunge and he applied for jobs there! We so wanted to move back to the Northwest, but the job hunt was intense and most companies opted for people within in the state. I guess Virginia is not a popular destination to move to because he got a job! We are excited to be in a state near a coast line, green and near new places to explore. Next thing on our list is getting the house ready to sell!
