It's Great to be 8!

Riley got Baptized on March 4th! I can't believe it's been 3 weeks ago! We had a lot of family come out which made it lots of fun and very crowded. Riley loved the attention he received from friends and family! It truly is great to be 8!
After Riley's Baptism, we all changed and went to his favorite restaurant Red Robbins!
He had three bottomless root beers and I think that's all he had.
I'm so sad about this photo of my aunt Dorthea and Gram. The angle at which you take a picture really does matter. Especially when you are indoors! I still love it though.
It was crazy, but a lot fun!
Here are some more photo's from the two weeks of Birthday and Baptism fun.
The kids sporting Nana and Opas shoes
Mindy had us all wear Natalies bee antennas. Natalie thought it was great on opa!
This Lady is going to be 90 on April 13th! Though age is catching up with her it never seems to stop her from coming to all of my kids milestones. Both her and my aunt have made it to all of my kids blessings and now Baptisms. She loves chocolate and calls it her viatmin C. We claim she is still alive because she drinks a cup of vinegar a day. She loves her independence and hates it when we dote on her. That being said, I am sad I will miss her Birthday, but am grateful I got to see her!
This picture was taken a day after everyone left. Lorelei and I were reading a book and realized that Natalie had become very quite. We looked over to find her asleep like this on the couch. It gave my neck phantom pains just watching her.

Boys and Doughnuts!

Riley's Birthday was on a Saturday morning at the MAC. We bought two dozens doughnuts, paid admission for 6 boys and then let them loose for two hours. The first hour was great! There were minimal people and the boys loved it. An hour and a half in they began to loose steam.
Doughnut break!

Presents time.
I couldn't get Riley to look at my camera and then the white balance was off and made them purple...
Later that day we had dinner at Freddy's, sang to Riley, opened more presents and ate cake!
Riley still Loves Math and everything Pokemon. His favorite color is red.  He is quite the Techie and has an obsession with his pad. His dream this year is to sing at a Rockies game with his school. Some day he wants to be a doctor, but for now he enjoys playing with his friends, helping around the house and loves his alone time reading at night. He is our favorite Bugaboo!

Tea time!

This is the first year I have ever done Birthday parties for Lorelei and Riley! It usually seems like a very daunting chore that I tend to avoid. The fear of no one showing up, lack of food, ordering things in time etc. In the end everything turned out fine and the girls had a blast!

Lollies Birthday party was moved to the 20th because everyone had presidents day off. We started off the party by making our own tea party hats. It was so much fun and doubled as a take home souvenir.
The girls and their creations!
Our next adventure was the fishing pond where the girls fished for necklaces, bracelets and ring pops!
What is a post without a food photo?
Opening presents is a serious thing.
A party isn't a party unless you end it with dancing!
The girls went home happy, dolled up and sugared out!
On the 21st we continued Lollies celebration with a cake, singing and more presents!
I love that my Lollie is now 6! She is funny, a flirt, stubborn, creative, loves animals and is very independent. Her favorite colors are blue and purple. Her favorite medium is clay. She loves to sing Abba songs and Scripture Power. Her dream is to be a veterinarian and own a poodle. She loves to boss around her sister and tackle her older brother. All in all, she is a spunky little person filled with love and laughter!
