First day of school!

The month of August reigns a new school year!
Natalie's start date was actually a few days after school started. Hence the reason why her first day of school outfit is not the same as the one pictured below.
These are their school pictures. Not my favorite, but they are so much fun later in life when you have them all back to back. You can see their tiny years, the geeky phases and how much styles change. They truly are a sort of time capsule.
End of day after 2 recesses bad hair day for Riley.
Natalie had a life project. We took her school picture and aged it for what she would look like in the future. We had a lot of fun in this one! Natalie was like, "I get to go to Hawaii when I'm older?" Sure kid, sure, that picture truly is your future...

End of Summer with Mozzie!!!!

Brandon and I found this adorable Bischon for a great deal and realized it was now or never. We decided not to tell the kids. We planned a "date" and told them we would bring them back a treat we had promised them during the week.
I'm glad I waited until Natalie was potty trained. Puppies are A Lot of work! I really shouldn't have gotten rid of the baby gate I had.
A week after we got him he took a little turn for the worse. We noticed a cough when we brought him home and the Vet said to keep an eye on him. By Friday he was coughing a lot and lethargic. He ended up spending one expensive day in the dog hospital with pneumonia. However, he has become a crucial part of our family and we love him!

Summer 2!!!!

In July we celebrated Natalie's Birthday and the 4th with my side of the family!!!!! Most of the time she looks like she's been crying. In all honesty she had been battling eye allergies for months. At first the eye doctor was thinking about putting tubes in her eye ducts. We had tried every type of antibiotic with no success. I decided to ask about allergies and luckily a new brand was on the marked and it worked!!!! By the end of the summer she was tear free!!!!!
Aunt Mindy and uncle Time got her makeup that she has been wanting for a long time now.
They also got her this cute vanity!!!!!
I love her grumpy face! We aren't sure why she was giving us the stink eye, but it is a great representation of how she looks angry!

She has become a better beautician in the last couple of months. This was definitely a first for her.
My kids love Clancy. Little did they know that soon we were going to add Mozzie to the mix!

Right before the show started we played with sparklers, pop its, and had our own small show in the street.
Then we crossed over to the park and watched the big show in the sky! I love that our neighborhood shoots them off so people everywhere can view them. I love our new house!!!!
After my family left I spent many days painting and playing at the pool with the kids.
Then we had a last minute idea to go to Steam Boat Springs for the Balloon Festival!
played at a hot springs in 80 degree weather. Yeah, we were nuts!
We ate donuts and did the Alpine slide.
The balloons compete on who can touch the pond the longest.
The pond had the coolest fog coming off it in the morning.
Visited a waterfall!
We wanted to see the balloons light up at night. Sadly a storm was rolling in so we had to leave. They did not want the silk balloons to get ruined with water.
Maybe we will have to go to the Arizona one next!!!!
