Brandon and I have heard so much about the Renaissance fair that we decided to make our Independence weekend even more fun!
The kids weren't too sure about it in the beginning but they quickly warmed up.
The Carollin below is a medieval instrument made up of 4 tons of bells. We watched Frank DellaPenna play them. It was loud and amazing!
Riley and Lorelei got crowned in the children's realm.
They got to ride on a huge rocking horse! Also, all of the rides were hand operated. There was no electricity at all.
I really wanted to ride an elephant with the kids, but their size freaked them out.
Brandon in a millinery shop. At first he was on a quest for a crown but ended up with a cool peter pan hat instead.
Lorelei had to ride a pony.
Jousting!!!!
Huzzah! Natalie was not a fan...
Some royals fashionably late.
Riley got his first weapon. A child sized bow equipped with real arrows. It is now time to find an archery range. Every day he tells me that all we need is a piece of cardboard for him to shoot in the backyard. I don't think the neighbors dogs would find that appealing when he misses.
Lorelei enjoyed meeting the fairy. Sadly a little boy photo bombed us.
The King and Queen made their rounds about the town often.
Over all it was a lot of fun! I think we might try this again next year.

Looks like such a fun activity. Nothing much was happening around here. That looks really awesome!
